Front Office Manager
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for managing all sections Front Office department in order to ensure the highest standards of service are being adhered to. Monitor the Front Desk to guarantee the smooth operation, including guest registration, room assignment check-in, and check-out procedures and to ensure all guests receive prompt and personal recognition.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage Front Desk during peak operation hours, checking the standards of services, and cleanliness as well as greeting and assisting in the check-in and check-out guests.
- Responsible for ensuring that the associates are projecting professionalism and are well trained in providing friendly and efficient service to the guests.
- Maintain an atmosphere of tranquillity at the Front Desk, never giving the impression that there is a problem.
- Periodically inspect rooms to ensure cleanliness and well maintained rooms. Patrols public areas frequently to ensure the cleanliness of the areas.
- Ensure that policies and procedures with regards to associates’ appearance, hygiene and sanitation are enforced.
- Ensure that corporate, divisional and departmental policies and procedures are adhered to at all levels.
- Delegate responsibilities to direct subordinates without relinquish ultimate responsibility for the operation.
- Attend to regular and potential guests and maintain excellent guest relations.
- Ensure that guests are receiving the best possible service at the Front Desk, monitor the comfort and well-being of the guests, whereby health and safety regulations are followed.
- Record any guest complaints take action and follow up with other departments the outcome.
- Check monthly attendance records and discuss any discrepancies with relevant associates, in the absence of Line Manager.
- Discuss Night Audit discrepancies with the receptionists and follow up on their corrections.
- Schedule and chairs the Front Office meetings and briefings in absence of the Line Manager.
- Effectively manage rooms’ inventory.
- Update regularly about resort facilities, activities, outlets operation hours, events etc. and conveys correct information to guests
