JA Ocean View Hotel is seeking an innovative, passionate, and highly skilled Head Mixologist to lead the beverage experience at our vibrant Greek restaurant and pool lounge - OIA. Set against stunning views of Ain Dubai and the Arabian Gulf, this venue brings together authentic Greek flavours, handcrafted cocktails, lively brunch pool parties, and captivating themed evenings—offering an unforgettable lifestyle experience.

As Head Mixologist, you will craft a distinctive beverage identity, elevate guest engagement, and lead a talented bar team in delivering world-class service and creativity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop an exceptional cocktail menu featuring signature creations, contemporary trends, and premium ingredients
• Lead, train, and mentor the bar team to ensure consistent, high-quality beverage preparation and engaging service
• Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards
• Collaborate with culinary, service, and entertainment teams to create cohesive themed events and beverage pairings
• Maintain inventory, costing, ordering, and stock rotation with strong attention to accuracy and budget control
• Drive guest engagement through storytelling, mixology demonstrations, and personalized beverage recommendations
• Monitor market trends and continuously innovate to keep the beverage program fresh, dynamic, and aligned with the venue’s identity
• Ensure a warm, professional, and guest-focused atmosphere at all times

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive experience in mixology with a proven track record leading bar teams in upscale or high-volume hospitality venues
• Mastery of classic and modern cocktail techniques, with strong creative vision for signature beverage development
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and staff development skills
• Deep knowledge of spirits, flavor profiles, craft techniques, and global mixology trends
• Guest-centric approach with the ability to create memorable, interactive experiences
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, energetic environment while maintaining precision and consistency
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including inventory, cost control, and bar management
• Previous experience in a high-end restaurant, lounge, or poolside venue is a strong advantage
